Teacher's assistants explain their role, but brace for cuts http://t.co/bbVnxyT #ncga #ncpol
Thousands of teacher's assistants in elementary classrooms are facing the chopping block under the state Senate's $19.4 budget proposal, which was unveiled last week and includes cuts to education spending overall.
"We are the foundation of the bridge; but if you don't have the foundation, the bridge doesn't work," said Fran Cameron, a first grade teacher's assistant at Joyner Elementary School in Raleigh.
So if the GOP what to know why these assistants are important, then I have solution for them see how they are need. THE Governor fired all assistants inside the NCGA, except one assistant per Rep/sen. That right one worker to add each of the Representative and Senator of the NCGA, this move would save a lot of money. But with in a week these idiots would see why the Teachers need their assistants.
Also if Tony Tata was a teacher before becoming a Superintendent then he would know what these Teacher’s Assistants do in the class, and how they are needed on daily basics. He wouldn’t need to reach out to find out.
