Love this comment, it rings true, that is what the fear the most.. Losing the house and senate again. Basically they are trying to create job security from themselves.. And to hell with the people..
The GOP supporting this bill screams of desperation and fear. It's clear Repubs are simply scared that Democrats will have the same massive turnout as in '08. If people are going to have Voter ID's therefore eliminating the GOP's claim of "rampant" voter fraud, then why do we also need shorter voting periods? Great, let's pass a bill that makes the voting process more difficult and inconvenient - much better! This bill makes no sense and is ALL about voter suppression. The great GOP overreach of 2011 was not only predicted but also inevitable and self destructive.
