A former Virginia State Police captain will not serve jail time for the molestation of his former step-daughter.

On Tuesday morning, Edward Hope stood stoically before a Brunswick County judge and pleaded guilty to one felony count of aggravated sexual battery against a child under the under of 13.

The guilty plea was a part of a plea agreement with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The judge sentenced Hope to 20 years in the state penitentiary, but suspended the entire sentence. Instead, Hope will be on supervised probation for two years and be forced to register as a sex offender.

Proof that if you are a Cop, DA, Judge in VA and you commit a SEx Crime you will get off very easy…

Former Burlington Officer Matt Hill Pleads Guilty To Indecent Liberties With A Minor

Burlington, NC -- A former Burlington Police Officer will call the county jail his new home for at least the next six months.

Monday, William Matthew "Matt" Hill pled guilty to two felony counts of indecent liberties with a minor. Hill was originally charged with 2 counts of statutory rape, and 2 counts of statutory sex offense.

As part of his guilty plea, Hill's charges were consolidated to 2 counts of indecent liberties with a child under 16. Hill received a 16-20 month suspended sentence, 5 months of active jail time, 5 years of supervised probation and he'll have to register as a sex offender. Hill was also ordered to get a mental assessment, pay a $5,000 fine and court costs.

It seem that cops get off easy when they commit sex crimes, while male teachers get high bond and much longer sentences.. Why is this? Shouldn’t we hold these jerks at a high standard..

If any other man, he would have got a hell of lot more then this guy..

The Community should be outrage over this sentencing.. So where is the OUTRAGE…
