NC NAACP Joins Triad Clergy for Rally Against Discrimination in the Constitution Two Days Before Election Day

GREENSBORO - North Carolina clergy from across the State and leadership from the North Carolina State Conference of the NAACP will gather in Greensboro on Sunday, May 6, 2012 for a Prayer Meeting and Rally against Discrimination in our Constitution.

            The rally will begin at 4:30 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1301 Alamance Church Road, Greensboro, NC. A news conference will precede the rally at 4:00 pm.

            Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II, President of the North Carolina State Conference of the NAACP will join the Ministers Conference of Winston-Salem and Vicinity, the Pulpit Forum of Greensboro and Vicinity, and the Greater Hickory Ministerial Alliance for the rally. The Ministers Conference of Winston-Salem and Vicinity will also officially release their position statement encouraging North Carolinians to vote AGAINST Amendment One.
