Evaluating the Work of the NC General Assembly on the HKonJ 14-Point Agenda
(Durham) - As partners and supporters from across North Carolina descend on Jones Street in Raleigh for the sixth annual HKonJ People's Assembly Coalition, the NC NAACP releases its Report Card grading the 2011 legislative session. The report card evaluated the legislative progress made by the North Carolina General Assembly on the HKonJ 14-point Agenda and grades individual legislators based on their votes on selected legislation.

The North Carolina General Assembly received an overall grade of "F" for their progress on the HKonJ 14-point Agenda. Very little progress was made on the agenda and in many instances this Legislature took us backwards on progress made in previous sessions. The full report card will be available at www.naacpnc.org on Monday.
