RALEIGH, NC - The North Carolina NAACP and the Forward Together Moral Movement will gather outside the General Assembly for Moral Monday today, June 2 to petition our lawmakers to make a serious commitment to protecting the health of our people and our environment.
Prior to the Moral Monday rally, we will deliver a letter to Gov. Pat McCrory's office to ask him to fight for the repeal of these policies that are hurting our most vulnerable. Following the rally on Halifax Mall at 5 pm this evening, the Forward Together Moral Movement will walk through the General Assembly building to deliver a similar letter to Speaker Thom Tillis and Senate Leader Phil Berger.
