The Forward Together Movement Joins with Local Partners to Hold the Next Moral Monday Demonstration in Fayetteville on Monday, Feb. 17

FAYETTEVILLE - Carrying on the momentum of last weekend's Moral March on Raleigh HKonJ People's Assembly, the Forward Together Movement continues to stand up for its five-point moral agenda around North Carolina--this time by holding a Moral Monday rally in Fayetteville.

The Fayetteville/Cumberland Co., Harnett Co., Hoke Co. and Unified Robeson Co. branches of the NAACP, alongside the NAACP College Chapter at Fayetteville State University and a number of coalition partner organizations, are organizing the demonstration to protest against the cruel policies pushed onto struggling North Carolinians by extremists in the General Assembly in 2013.

As the Supreme Court judges the fate of DOMA and Prop 8, join us for as we call for full LGBT equality.
Vigils will be taking place across the country as the nation's highest court hears oral arguments in the Prop 8 and DOMA cases on March 26 and 27.

a coalition of pro-equality organizations, and supporters of LGBT rights from across the state. We will wait in vigil with the hope that our legislators will oppose the anti-gay constitutional amendment.

The anti-gay amendment will change our State Constitution to ban same-sex marriage (as statute already does),and prohibit civil unions and nullify domestic partnership benefits. The vigil will take place the night of a special legislative session on constitutional amendments and will coincide with the predicted vote on House Bill 777/Senate Bill 106.
