These Women shouldn’t be allow to work in the Government!

Abortion Restrictions Texas

Amid a heated debate over a restrictive anti-abortion bill being pushed by Texas GOP lawmakers, one Republican argued that a proposed exemption for rape victims was unnecessary because assaulted women could simply turn to rape kits for abortions.

"In the emergency room they have what’s called rape kits, where a woman can get cleaned out," said state Rep. Jodie Laubenberg (R), sponsor of the controversial SB 5, according to The Associated Press.

The GOP at NCGA wants gifts aka bribes

robert brawley

Raleigh, N.C. — A veteran Republican House lawmaker has filed a proposal to allow lobbyists to once again give unreported gifts to state lawmakers in North Carolina.

House Bill 640, filed by Rep. Robert Brawley, R-Iredell, would roll back many of the ethics reforms passed by state lawmakers in the wake of the House Speaker Jim Black scandal of 2006.

This only proves how corrupt the NCGA Republicans are.. Now they want gifts and money from lobbyist to pass bill that lobbyist employers aka Corporations, to make laws that favor them..

I guess need money for another house, maybe a car, or a vacation.. Just as long he doesn’t have to spend his money..

Brawley also said in his message that the gift ban and other ethics laws pertaining to lawmakers and lobbyists "are an impediment to meeting and exchanging ideas and information."

No Brawley, the law is to make sure someone doesn’t buy laws to favor them.. you jack ass.

Justice is blind, deaf and stupid here in NC

Its also where justice can be brought too,

The North Carolina Supreme Court sided Friday with legislative leaders who withheld emails and other documents between them and state-funded private attorneys about redistricting maps approved in 2011, ruling that those documents can be confidential. Rep. David Lewis, R-Harnett, who was chairman of the House Redistricting Committee when the maps were drawn, praised the ruling Friday. "It's very important for individuals to have the common-law right afforded to them of being able to have confidential communications with their attorneys," he said.

I bet if the Dem’s try this the GOP would be outraged..

NCGA join the National GOP on taxing the poor and letting the Rich off with big Tax Breaks

The new tax plan is most generous to the wealthiest North Carolinians while raising taxes on middle-income households, the BTC report said. If implemented, a family earning $24,000 a year would see its taxes rise by $500 under the new tax plan, while one earning $1 million would get a $41,000 break. The wealthiest 20 percent of taxpayers will receive a significant tax cut – a cut paid for by shifting the tax load to 60 percent of the state’s taxpayers, primarily middle class and low-income households.

Durham Republican Party County Supports Amendment 1

Well, we know now where these Bigots Stand.. 92

Resolution Supporting Amendment 1 to the North Carolina Constitution

1. Whereas in the primary election on May 8, 2012, voters will be asked to
approve the following amendment to the North Carolina State Constitution:Sec. 6. Marriage.

Marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this State. This section does not prohibit a private party from entering into contracts with another private party; nor does this section prohibit courts from adjudicating the rights of private parties pursuant to such contracts.

2. Whereas, the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts legalized marriage
beyond that between a man and woman in 2003 by a narrow 4-3 decision based
on its interpretation of the Massachusetts State Constitution;

3. Whereas, the voters of Massachusetts have been denied by their legislature
the opportunity ever to vote on this issue;

4. Whereas, 29 states have responded to the Massachusetts decision by
adopting marriage amendments to their constitutions in order to prevent courts
altering the definition of marriage in opposition to the will of the people;

5. Whereas our legislature is providing the opportunity for North Carolina citizens
to vote on this important issue;

6. Whereas the proposed amendment does not change the existing law in North
Carolina;

7. Whereas courts and legislatures have used the power of the state to coerce
religious institutions to accept government dictated definitions of marriage,
thereby limiting our religious freedom;

8. Whereas the amendment does not limit the rights of private parties to contract;

9. Whereas the traditional institution of marriage is a bulwark for liberty and the
common good;

10. Whereas this amendment in no way diminishes the existing rights and
liberties of all North Carolinians;

11. Whereas the citizens of North Carolina have the right, duty and obligation to
amend their constitution to protect our liberties;

12. Whereas, this amendment protects us from a fundamental change in our law
by the judiciary or legislature without the vote of the people;

13. Whereas, the citizens of North Carolina can revoke this amendment in the
future should they so wish;

14. Whereas this amendment enhances and protects the popular sovereignty of
all North Carolinians;

BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE DURHAM COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY:

Expresses its appreciation to the North Carolina Legislature for providing
for a popular vote on this amendment, insuring that the voice of the people
is heard; and

Supports the adoption of this Amendment to the North Carolina State
Constitution; and

Recommends that all voters vote YES on this question; and
directs that this resolution be communicated to our Senators and Members
of Congress, and all other parties, elected officials and the citizens of North
Carolina as appropriate.

Signed:

HOC, calls five men to testify on women health, no women testify???

427719_10150695171509384_86574174383_11387229_124146115_nRight now at a House Oversight Committee hearing, House Republicans have called five men to testify on women’s health. My colleague Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) who is on the committee, looked at this panel (from which a woman who was the Democratic witness was excluded by the GOP) and asked: where are the women? That’s a good question.

Women of this country is getting screwed by the GOP big time…

Cry me a River: Christian Action League,

The bigots at CAL is worry, that they plans to rule behind the GOP in NCGA is almost over..

They are upset over the retirements, resignations and deaths in the NCGA GOP.

The General Election of 2012 is eleven months away, the Primary Election is scheduled to take place in just about six months, and the filing period for candidates running in 2012 is set to open in roughly two months, but already resignations and retirements among members of the North Carolina General Assembly are starting to pile up. Within the past week, three members of the N.C. House have announced plans to retire or seek another office, and as of today, 13 incumbent House members do not intend to seek reelection to the chamber in 2012. In the Senate, one member passed away last month, another is resigning at the end of the year, one is seeking higher office and another has chosen to retire - all are members of the majority party (Republican).

They knew they would be voted out anyway, for lying to the people. All the GOP did was push their sick ideology on the people of NC. While destroying our schools.

Earlier this year, Reps. Johnathan Rhyne (R-Lincoln) and Jeff Barnhart (R-Cabarrus) resigned from the N.C. House and have been replaced by appointed members, Reps. Jason Saine (R-Lincoln) and Larry Pittman (R-Cabarrus), respectively. Six other members have already announced plans to retire after 2012, and at least seven more may leave the House to seek higher office.

In the N.C. Senate, Sen. Jim Forrester (R-Gaston) passed away last month, and Sen. Debbie Clary (R-Cleveland) is stepping down at the end of this year. Their successors have been or are in the process of being selected. Futhermore, Sen. David Rouzer (R-Johnston) is running for the U.S. Congress, and Sen. Harris Blake (R-Moore) plans to retire.

Funny that the retirements and resignations this election cycle are occurring in those districts that are largely favorable to the incumbent member’s party. I guess there were just to many freshmen this term and they screw the pooch big time.. Yes Thanks to Tillis and Berger they ran the NCGA right into the ground…
