These to Cops is a Gun, Yes a Gun,

smartphone-comparison

The trend of insinuating cell phones can be guns began earlier this year when Juan “Biggie” Santana had his Sony Bloggie confiscated by Hialeah police officer  Antonio Sentmanat in South Florida.

So do you believe this crap, cops claims they fear for their lives, cause  you know that iphone could be a igun..

WTF: Joe Biden Staffer to Journalist, you must Delete that Photo

From Photography isn’t a Crime,

A Joe Biden staff member ordered a student journalist to delete his photos in a university-sponsored event at a Maryland college, prompting the vice president’s press secretary to issue an apology.

But only after dean of the journalism program fired off a letter in protest.

The staffer, Dana Rosenzweig, walked up to the student and ordered him to delete his photos off his iPhone because he had been sitting in a “non-press seating area,” giving him an “unfair advantage over other members of the press” who apparently had a more restrictive vantage point to take their shots.

Really, another person in Washington who don’t know or understand the Constitution of the US.

News Flash, Illinois Supreme Court Rules on Recording Police

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal of a controversial Illinois law prohibiting people from recording police officers on the job.

By passing on the issue, the justices left in place a federal appeals court ruling that found that the state's anti-eavesdropping law violates free-speech rights when used against people who audiotape police officers.

Court Rules You Can Keep Using Your SmartPhone to Record Police Abuses. -Common Dreams
The Supreme Court has blocked enforcement of an Illinois law that prohibited people from recording police officers actions, agreeing with the ACLU that the law "restricts far more speech than necessary to protect legitimate privacy interests.” CopWatch, in New York and elsewhere, explains why it matters.

Just because they have a badge doesn’t mean they know Everything.

Via Photography isn’t a Crime,

Just another Ignorant asshole with a badge who thinks he knows everything, and when that don’t work, just claim the 9/11 law..

Video Description

On Thursday, November 14th when filming near the Valero refinery in Manchester TSB organizers were stopped and approached by two officers of the notoriously violent and corrupt Houston Police Department. E.T. Ramirez, badge number 8407 and D. Jimenez, badge number 8105, claimed that it was against the law to film near Valero, but when questioned about which law that was, neither officer could name it. Upon further questioning one officer simply stated, "9/11."
The police continually harassed the organizers demanding that they produce ID's. One of the organizers refused to cooperate, to which an officer replied, "If you're not doing anything wrong and you don't have any warrants or anything then you shouldn't have any problem giving me your ID."
This is emblematic of the repression directed at anyone that attempts to speak out against the corporations that are systematically poisoning their neighbors. Valero, their private security, and the Houston Police Department sends a clear message to the community: if you question Valero, they'll question you.
After continued resistance to their requests to produce identification the police retreated to their vehicle for a few minutes before coming back to let the TSB crew know they could leave, but not before asking one last time if they were "sure" they didn't want to show them some ID...
Later that same day the crew was interviewing a Manchester resident who lives right next to the Valero refinery and who wanted to raise her voice and speak up about Valero's egregious practices. While filming the interview in a public park --the only park in Manchester-- and not five minutes into the process Valero's private security approached the scene. The security guard, much like the police, proved once again that Valero will do everything in its power to silence anyone attempting to expose the injustice and abuse it perpetrates daily.
This video documents these interactions with Valero security, which would be comical if it weren't so tragic for the residents who have to deal with this type of police harassment on a daily basis.

Have you ever seen a Cloud Tsunami, they are beautiful.

This is first time I have ever seen anything like it,, What I would give to up in a Helicopter and take some great shots like the one below..

120210-cloud-tsunami-waves-nj-03.photoblog900By Natalia Jimenez, msnbc.com

Helicopter pilot Mike Schaeffer was wrapping up a tour when he spotted this incredible weather phenomenon along the coast of Panama City Beach, Fl. on Sunday. As soon as he landed, he alerted Panhandle Helicopter owner JR Hott of the "cloud form waves," and together they went up for a better view. They moved quickly knowing that it is only in very specific weather conditions that this beautiful effect occurs. While the online community has dubbed this a "cloud tsunami," Hott disagrees with the popular moniker:

I wouldn't call it a "cloud tsunami." The term tsunami implies a natural disaster. The event, while it can form quickly, moves gently and slowly. It isn't something that happens with more than a gentle breeze.

This is one way to get a Bridge fixed or a new one

A cargo ship named The Delta Mariner pauses in the water after colliding with a southwestern Kentucky bridge that partially collapsed when it was struck Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, near Aurora, Ky. The ship was traveling upriver toward the Kentucky Lock and Dam when it hit the aging steel bridge, which was built in the 1930s and handles about 2,800 vehicles a day.

Graphic Artists Guild is piss over a Contest for the DNC.

To the latest headache for the DNC: Late last month the Graphic Artists Guild sent a letter to Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz calling a poster contest run by the convention leadership "shameful" for underpaying graphic artists in violation of the guild's ethical and professional guidelines.

First off, it should be known that many Graphic artists’ works never see the light of day. Just like most photographers work. Most of these Artists sit and wait for their big day, hoping someone will give them a chance. For many this Contest is the very chance they are waiting for. Also it’s a way for them to show their work to the world.

I know this was the case for me. I' consider myself  an amateur photographer; who is still waiting for my million dollar image. I was lucky enough once to get paid for my work.

One day back in summer of 1998 I was lucky enough to photograph a terrible auto accident. The driver of a medical supply truck hit the back of a propane tanker. Busting off the main valve and sitting off the gas.

A house was completely burned to the ground, the driver of the propane truck die inside of the cab. It took three fire depts. over 6 hours to putt this fire out, while till the all the propane burnt out that is. All they could do was to stop the other two homes catching on fire.

I told over 6 rolls of film of the fire. While standing on the sidelines, a news reporter from VA Beach asks me if I plan to sell any stops to my local paper. I told her no, since their photographer was on the scene. She suggested that I try VA pilot in Va Beach, since they are a daily paper and my local was a weekly one. I took her advice and travel to VA Beach. The paper brought ten shots of the accident and fire. This was the first time I was paid and publish in a newspaper.

Which one is a private citizen camera?

From Photography isn’t a Crime, Carlos Miller

1.images

2.imagesss

So if you have Camera one, then you are a private citizen, if however your camera is number 2 then you are with the media.. Just How stupid are our men and women 0f law enforcement getting. May be it time to make being a Officer a career where you must a Associate Degree of some type..

This is how photographer Provbenson explains it on Flickr.

I followed the Occupy march from Burnside park to Brown today. When I arrived I noticed plain clothed campus security taking photographs of the marchers as they entered the gates, I did the same. When I looked up from my lens, a uniformed campus guard asked me to leave. I asked why and he said no media were allowed. I explained I was not affiliated with any sort of media and he just wouldn't accept it. He said that my camera was not a private citizen camera and I must be working for media.

This Officer just can’t tell the difference at all. Even if he was with the media he had 1st Amendment right to cover the Occupy event..

(A plainsclothes cop at Brown University photographs Occupy Providence protesters while a uniformed cop tell citizen he is not allowed to take pictures (Photos by Bill of Provbenson on Flickr))

Remember the Police Fear the Camera and Video Cameras for a reason. These devices tell the truth on them when they are trying to cover their asses for wrong/breaking the law…
