RALEIGH - The North Carolina NAACP and the Forward Together Movement will hold a news conference on Friday morning to discuss the most recent attacks on voting rights by the NC General Assembly and announce a mass mobilization against these efforts at Moral Monday 12 on July 22. The news conference will include a report from the National NAACP Convention, held this week in Orlando, FL.
The news conference will take place at Martin Street Baptist Church, 1001 E. Martin Street, Raleigh, NC in the sanctuary at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 19, 2013.
The news conference will also introduce some of the 101 individuals who were arrested on Monday while bearing witness to extreme and destructive legislation in the NC General Assembly.
