*No Speeches, No Anger, No Disrespect; Just Love*
David Mixner is a mentor and hero. When he asks for something, you know its coming from the most principled of places and from love. Come join us for this peaceful vigil in support of love and equality on the eve of the Supreme Court considering marriage equality. - Peter
From David Mixner:
The week of March 24 will be a historic week for the LGBT community, family and friends. For two days on that week, the United States Supreme Court is hearing arguments on both the DOMA and Proposition 8 cases. Rarely has a time called for dignified reflections and 'giving witness' to the moment.
Not acknowledging the importance of those hearings in our lives is unacceptable. All over America at sunset either on Sunday March 24 or Monday, March 25 there will be vigils, visits to Congressional offices and editorial boards, LGBT couples seeking marriage licenses and even some getting arrested.
Show up and be counted somewhere in America. Just do it.
On Sunday evening (March 24) at 7:00PM, I will be taking a candle to Times Square - the window to the world and standing silently for one hour to give witness. I will be standing behind the half price ticket booth. There will be no speeches (although music is always welcomed) and no anger.
Have zero idea if it will be just me standing alone with my candle or just me and a few friends.
However, I am inviting you to come and stand with me to give witness to the nation and the world how important that week will be for LGBT American obtaining freedom and equality.
If the spirit moves you and you in New York City come on down to Times Square with your candle, your determination to fully equal and spend an hour with me.
Much love and peace.

Holy Shit: NY Mayor Bloomberg give to Planned Parenthood
Mr. Bloomberg, a billionaire with a long-term interest in public health, said he would give Planned Parenthood Federation of America a $250,000 matching gift — he will donate $1 for every new dollar Planned Parenthood raises up to $250,000..
because,
The controversy erupted this week when the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation said it would not renew most of the grants it had been making to Planned Parenthood for breast cancer screening. The Komen foundation had been giving about $700,000 a year to Planned Parenthood.

September 17th: Day Of Rage
On the 17th of September, we want to see 20,000 people to flood into lower Manhattan, set up tents, kitchens, peaceful barricades and occupy Wall Street for a few months. Once there, we shall incessantly repeat one simple demand in a plurality of voices and we will not leave until that demand has been met. Like our brothers and sisters in Egypt, Greece, Spain, and Iceland, we plan to use the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic of mass occupation to restore democracy in America. We also encourage the use of nonviolence to achieve our ends and maximize the safety of all participants.
Cantor, Hayworth holding Help hostage for more budget cuts.
Last week, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) shockingly demanded that Congress should not approve emergency aid to states battered by Hurricane Irene unless it makes offsetting budget cuts elsewhere first. Several other congressional Republicans have made the same demand since then.
Now, Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-NY) has joined this chorus of disaster aid hostage takers. Hayworth, who represents a portion of New York that the hurricane hit, said Congress has to have budget cuts before it allocates more disaster aid because the “challenges we face with the national budget have not changed,” and likened it to a family skipping a vacation:
Only days after a record-setting storm destroyed her district, Rep. Nan Hayworth and her House colleagues threatened to withhold disaster money if lawmakers don’t cut additional spending from the federal budget. “We’re facing a natural disaster in the middle of an economic disaster,” Hayworth said Wednesday. “Certainly, the challenges we face with the national budget have not changed.”
Hayworth, R-Mount Kisco, said she would only vote to replenish the federal disaster fund if new spending was offset by budget cuts. She said those cuts should come from “non-defense discretionary spending.” Hayworth likened her position to a family skipping vacation if it was overwhelmed by bills. “We have to control spending,” she said. “There’s no question about it.”
How nice, the Rich, white Republicans holding help hostage from their constituents, in order to force more budget cuts… isn’t this a form of treason?
Both Govs. Bob McDonnell (R-VA) and Chris Christie (R-NJ) have called on their fellow Republicans to immediately deliver disaster aid and put aside hostage taking about complimentary budget cuts.
I, a course blame the Tea-baggers 100%, this very racist group of Older white American who are piss that the we the people elected our first African-
American to the office of President. This as piss them off, so to get back they are attacking their very own country. Tea-Party = Traitors, Period.
If these self righteous douche bags want to cut the budget, then they all should take a 25% pay cut and pay for their own health care. That’s start in the right direction.
So just who is this new Douchebagoftheday,
Hayworth challenged Democratic incumbent John Hall in the 2010 election. She initially faced a difficult primary from state Assemblyman Greg Ball, but he dropped out of the race. She ran on the Republican, Conservative, and Independence Party ballot lines. She was endorsed by former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.
She is a member of the GOP Young Guns and GOP's Republican Main Street Partnership. In the Republican primary, she won with 70% of the vote. She is also a member of the conservative Republican Study Committee.

Eight bucks for a glass of Tap water in NY: WTF..
Central Park Boathouse workers want to let New Yorkers in on a little secret. According to the restaurant's striking employees, the famed eatery has been serving filtered tap water disguised as bottled H2O for a whopping $8 for years, and the embattled workers have been forced to deceive customers. But this past weekend, workers turned the tables on operator Dean Poll.
Damn these folks in New York are suckers.. Please there is nothing wrong with tap water. Remember if you won’t drink it, then why that a bath in it.. then again maybe there is something in the water..
8 buck for a glass, and I thought 20 bucks for the first 1000 gallons of city water was bad…

NY Douchebag Rev Jason McGuire
Rev. Jason McGuire, with the New Yorkers For Constitutional Freedoms filed suit to overturn same-sex marriage. Since because they are nothing better to do, but to be a bunch of dickheads.
McGuire claims that the state Senate, in adopting the legislation, violated the state’s Open Meetings Law by closing off the Senate galleries and lobby; and by holding closed door meetings with Mayor Bloomberg and others who backed the law.The group also claims, among other things, that Gov. Cuomo and the Senate ignored the constitutionally mandated three-day waiting period before a bill can be acted upon and that lawmakers approved the legislation in exchange for campaign contributions from Bloomberg and other high profile "Wall Street financiers."
"It is unfortunate that state senators chose to protect their personal interests, rather than the people they were elected to represent. Some of the players may have changed, but it looks like same old Albany game. It is time the curtain be pulled back and the disinfecting light of good government shine upon the Cuomo Administration and our State Legislature," McGuire said in a press release.
So how much will NOM being giving to this group to help with legal cost, also will Sen. Ruben Diaz be a star witness for them??
Sen. Ruben Diaz, will try to get NY’s SSM Annulled..
Sen. Ruben Diaz promised to annul all of New York's same-sex marriages
Thousands of protesters rallied in several cities around the state, a signal that the long fight for recognition may not be over just yet. State Sen. Ruben Diaz, a minister who was the sole Democrat to vote against gay marriage when the Legislature approved it, told a crowd near the United Nations that he and other opponents would try to get Sunday’s marriages annulled, saying judges broke the law by waiving the 24-hour waiting period without a good reason. “We’re going to show them next week that everything they did today was illegal,” he said, speaking in Spanish.
Talking about a sore loser, I bet his law suit will be backed by NOM..

NOM send mailer
NOM’s mailers compare the senators to Benedict Arnold, another New Yorker from history who sold his principles for cash. Gen. Benedict Arnold received 6,000 British Pounds Sterling for plotting to surrender Fort West Point to the British.
The mailers also remind voters of key facts about the Senators. For example:
· Senator Mark Grisanti ran for office on a traditional marriage platform, and solicited and accepted a $4,000 campaign contribution from NOM.
· Senator James Alesi has said publicly, “It’s not our job to be moral.”
· Senator Carl Kruger, who is under indictment for allegedly taking $1 million in bribes in exchange for political favors, said of his vote, “What we are about to do is redefine what the American family is.”
Nom is just piss, Cause NY voted to allow SSM to happen, which Start on 7/24/2011, right after midnight..

NOM Rabbi Blames Gay Marriage For 8 Year Old’s Murder
“Why was this [death of Kletzky] allowed to happen? Let’s think about it. If we go back to the cause, the effect was he was the victim, but the cause was a Jew [Yiddish] that the evil will come to destroy you within your midst. [...] For too long we have been turning our cheek, we have been turning away and ignoring the agenda of the descendants of Amalek [evil] — first they [Gay's] wanted rights, then they wanted adoption, they wanted special protections, and ultimately they wanted marriage — and we all know that we did precious little. If those three or fourth thousand people [who searched for the boy when we went missing], at the direction of the greater Israel and their leaders and their common sense, would have come out, maybe, against the marriage, against this final nail in the coffin of morality…maybe we wouldn’t have had to had this episode of Amalek [evil] replay itself. This is a time for introspection…This came in the very aftermath of the marriage bill, my dear friends, and not doing anything.”
Watch it (around 7:00):
Rabbi Yehuda Levin must have forgot his history lessons. I wonder if NOM was around with Hitler was killing Jews, Gays and others what, who would have NOM Blame for it all..
Yehuda, must have forgotten that it wasn’t jus the Jews who were, being gun down, gassed, and burn in those camps, and kettles of the Nazis. For a Rabbi to claim this 8-yrs. old was killed solely because New York pass SSM is outrageous.

Tony isn’t very Happy this week
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 24, 2011
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins reacted to the vote by the New York State Senate, releasing the following statement:
“Enormous political coercion has resulted in a profound failure of moral courage in the New York Senate. A clear majority of the people of New York oppose counterfeit ‘marriage,’ but Gov. Cuomo and anti-family lawmakers have shown that their allegiance is to a small but vocal minority seeking to redefine marriage and family.
“The so-called religious protections that were tacked on to the bill will ultimately do nothing to protect the religious rights of New York citizens. As we go forward there is little doubt that the “incentives,” some taxpayer funded, used to sway votes, especially Republican ones, will be exposed.
Yes Tony truly believe that the Dems brought those few Reps that voted to legalize Same-Sex Marriages in New York.. I just love freaks like Tony, who claim they are protecting marriage, while they do nothing to stop divorce or marriage break downs. You know that fundies just love to claim that SSM will lead to human and animal marriages and human and machines marriages too. Please, I think Tony and other’s like him, who gets on their soap box and tell such lies, are drinking too much of the kool aid that they are bushing themselves, or they are off their meds, hell maybe both.
