WTF: Kay Hagan? Gov’t close to a shut down, she asking for money.

We're coming down to the wire -- there's just under 8 hours left to reach our $90,000 goal before the FEC deadline.
The special interests certainly spared no expense in North Carolina this month. And we can't spare any expense in building the grassroots network we need to fight back.
The clock is ticking.
Chip in $5 or more right now to help us reach our $90,000 goal before the FEC deadline at midnight tonight.

Thank you for all of your hard work this month.

A Statement from the North Carolina NAACP

North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Claude Pope held a news conference on Tuesday, in which he criticized the Forward Together Movement and the continuing Moral Monday rallies. The Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II, President of the North Carolina NAACP, issued the following statement.

"We pray for Mr. Pope, his family and his Party. It is difficult, when you find yourself on the wrong side of history, to face truth.

But let us be clear: the North Carolina NAACP's dispute and critique is not with Mr. Claude Pope. We are highly critical of Gov. McCrory, Mr. Tillis and Mr. Berger and other elected officials, who put their hands on the Holy Bible, and swore to uphold the Constitutions of North Carolina and the United States, to govern for the good of the whole.

They have not done so. Until they do, the broad, deep diversity of the Forward Together Movement will continue to challenge their immoral, unconstitutional policies."

"Young people have always been an active and important part of the Forward Together Movement," said Dr. Barber. "As school begins across the state, they will continue to organize and build this movement in response to the immoral and unconstitutional attacks on student voting rights and public education. This is a Movement, not a moment!"
