This was taken moments before Parrot was murdered by the cop. The cop drove his knee into the middle of Parrot's back while stretching Parrot's forelegs behind him, as one would do with an armed criminal. Without waiting to determine whether this technique would calm Parrot, the cop grabbed Parrot, lifted him off the ground, and brought him to the top of the concrete staircase.

He threw Parrot over the banister, down twelve steps, and onto the concrete floor. Then, the cop stood at the top of the stairs, drew his weapon, and executed Parrot. Aaron, the animal's owner, cannot recall the number of shots fired. Witnesses state that Parrot was not harming anybody and was simply frightened by the cop. At no time did Parrot try to bite the officer, all he did was start barking.

It doesn't matter if you are a part of an Occupy movement, PETA, Republican, Democrat, Independant Religious or not, if you are a part of the human race this should be a wake up call that something is very wrong with our society.
Isn't brutally killing animals something that most Serial Killers do right before they switch to killing humans?

The Boy Scouts ‘Perversion Files’, more than 5,000, Yet the BSoA claim LGBT Americans are perverts..

sdfsA Los Angeles Times and Canadian Broadcasting Corp. investigation has revealed that The Boy Scouts of America and Canada harbored, covered up after, and allowed an estimated five thousand child molesters to continue leading and raping scouts for over two decades.

Official documents keeping tabs on the pedophiles within the Boy Scouts were called the “Perversion Files.” The extensive coverup of thousands of sex crimes by scout leaders is being likened to the massive sex abuse by Catholic priests who continue to enjoy protection from the law.

“It’s the same institutional reaction: scandal prevention,” said Seattle attorney Timothy Kosnoff, who has filed seven suits in the last year by former Scouts but was not involved in the Oregon case.

“You do not want to broadcast to the entire population that these things happen,” A. Buford Hill Jr., a former Orange County Scouting executive, said of officials’ decision not to contact authorities. “You take care of it quietly and make sure it never happens again.”

But it did happen again. And again. And again and again and again and a few thousand more times. All while the Boy Scouts looked in the other direction. One longtime scout leader, Rick Turley, admits to molesting more boys than he can remember while serving in multiple Boy Scouts organizations. ”It was easy,” he said.

When Turley was pushed out of one local scout group after molesting three boys whose parents agreed to not press charges if he left and never came back, the Scouts had at that point been made aware of at least a dozen boys their employee had raped. Still, they chose to protect their star pedofile. His termination notice (he later joined another Scout troop) read in part, “We are making no accusations and will not release this information to anyone, so our action in no way will affect your standing in the community.”

Deplorable.

Now that the existence of the Perversion Files has been confirmed in court, the BSoA have petitioned to seal them from the media. This admittance of guilt has understandably ruffled feathers, as there are several thousand former victims of Boy Scouts sex abuse estimated that have yet to come forward with their charges because shame and disbelief that this could possibly have happened on such a large scale prevent them from doing so.

Allowing press access to the Perversion Files would encourage victims of decades old sex abuse to sue the Boy Scouts. A recent judgment against the Scouts in a sex abuse case to the tune of $20 Million shows that legal and public opinion are against the Scouts on this one.

It should go without saying, but keep this in mind the next time this group that protected FIVE THOUSAND pedophiles dares to judge the morality of LGBT Americans.

Pregnancy Care Centers Respond to NARAL Attack

Representatives of pregnancy care centers across the state and nation are speaking out to defend the non-profit organizations in the wake of a NARAL Pro-Choice NC Foundation report attacking their integrity and insisting on the need for increased government constraints.

The NARAL release, based on a nine-month study by NPCNCF staff and volunteers, claimed the centers are giving false information, posing as medical facilities and using "manipulative tactics." It further castigated centers for employing "biblically-based arguments to encourage people to refrain from sex until marriage," and accused the organizations of targeting minority women and purposely locating near colleges and universities.

But Bobbie Meyer, director of Carolina Pregnancy Care Fellowship, called parts of the report "blatantly untrue," including the assertion that Pregnancy Care Centers (PCCs) are trying to pass themselves off as full-fledged medical clinics.

"The services of some of our centers are medical in nature, and 23 of them have volunteer medical directors," Meyer said. "Some offer limited obstetrical ultrasounds to determine the gestational age of the baby. If anything seems unusual, the client is referred to the emergency room or to a physician outside of the pregnancy center."

The NARAL study referred to center staff wearing white lab coats "like those worn by doctors and nurses in hospitals and clinics," but Meyer said in all her visits to centers she has never seen anyone in scrubs or a white coat except a nurse.

She also questioned how NARAL came up with its count of 122 centers in North Carolina.

"There are 76 pregnancy care organizations in North Carolina, five of which have satellite locations for a total of 81," Meyer said. She said women who come to the centers are treated "kindly and fairly,"

and that volunteers are trained to present accurate information about pregnancy and about abortion risks.

"Can I say that every volunteer in every center is going to say everything exactly right? No, but a vast majority of them use the information sensitively as they are trained," Meyer added. "The truth is the abortion industry doesn't want women to think that abortion is anything except a very safe and easy procedure and that when it's over, it's over. But this is a serious choice with a result that may or may not be very detrimental for the rest of their life."

While the NARAL report chastised centers for mentioning post-abortion stress, a study released last month shows women who have an abortion face increased risks for mental health problems including substance abuse, anxiety and depression. The study, published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, showed women who had an abortion were 34 percent more likely to develop an anxiety disorder, 37 percent more likely to experience depression, 110 percent more likely to abuse alcohol, 155 percent more likely to commit suicide, and 220 percent more likely to use marijuana.

"These are the kinds of studies that the abortion industry doesn't want women to know about, and it's this type of information that they will get at a pregnancy care center," said the Rev. Mark Creech, executive director of the Christian Action League. "Plus, they will also find out that they are not alone and that there are resources and services available to them so that they do have a choice and shouldn't feel pressured to abort."

North Carolina PCCs served more than 25,000 clients last year offering a variety of services from pregnancy and STD testing to ultrasounds, parenting classes, baby supplies and mentoring.

Although the NARAL report said some pregnancy care centers inaccurately portrayed a link between breast cancer and abortion, Meyer said there are studies on both sides of that issue and that materials provided to women at the centers are referenced and documented with footnotes.

As for the criticism that the centers are locating in areas with high populations of minorities and college students, Meyer said national affiliates Heartbeat International and Care Net had made no secret of the fact that as early as 2005 they began urging new PCCs to locate in urban areas where the need for pregnancy care is greatest, focusing on neighborhoods where "poverty is rampant and alternatives are few."

She made no apologies for the fact that PCC volunteers often share the Gospel with clients.

"We are Christian ministries, and our hearts' desire is that women who come to us have an opportunity to see that in action and to be treated as Jesus would treat them," she said. "What we try to do is open the conversation and explore where she is coming from in her own spiritual journey, listen respectfully and then ask some questions to further that."

Meyer said no one requesting services is ever required or pressured to agree with the center on a spiritual matter." Ancil Overby, executive director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Gaston County called NARAL's report a "smear campaign," and told the Gaston Gazette that in his 15 years at the local center, which serves some 4,000 clients annually, only three had complained about services.

In an e-mail to the Gazette, N.C. Sen. Kathy Harrington (R-Gaston) said she was not surprised that pro-abortion groups were trying to discredit those "who encourage women to choose life." She was one of many sponsors of the Choose Life license plate legislation that was also targeted by the NARAL report, which argued that regulation of the pregnancy care centers is necessary because they would be receiving state funding.

Both Meyer and House Majority Leader Paul Stam (R-Wake) pointed out to the media that the potential license plate funds won't come from the state budget but from the extra money people pay for the specialty plates.

"The law does not force anyone to buy 'Choose Life' license plates that help fund Crisis Pregnancy Centers," Harrington wrote. And Meyer added that, as a result of a lawsuit filed by pro-choice activists and the American Civil Liberties Union, not one pregnancy care center has received any funds from Choose Life plate sales.

Like Harrington, Meyer said she was not surprised by NARAL's attack on the PCCs, which appears to follow the same pattern that pro-abortion groups have used in other locations across the nation.

On May 10, NARAL Pro-Choice New York posted a YouTube video revealing its national plans to try to shut down pregnancy centers via the organization's Urban Initiative and instead direct women to abortion providers. As early as December, 2009, an online newsletter had outlined the group's strategy: first to publish "studies" that show that centers "mislead" women; then, to identify lawmakers willing to pass legislation restricting the centers and effectively shutting them down.

According to Peggy Hartshorn, president of Heartbeat International, the studies, like the one just reported in North Carolina, which rely on NARAL members "who act as fake clients and try to trip up the centers they visit," often backfire.

"When such a study was brought into hearings on a law to muzzle centers in Virginia, the expert witness for NARAL was forced to admit that their study contained 'methodological flaws,'" Hartshorn wrote in a recent column. She attributed the increased attacks from NARAL to the fact that "the pregnancy help movement, fueled by Christian charity and equipped by ... leadership training ... is lowering abortion sales and tilting the culture toward life."

"We have one powerful, slander-busting weapon that abortion advocates do not have — precious babies with happy Mothers!," Hartshorn added.

"NARAL's regulatory proposals are self-serving and insulting to women, who are fully able to determine who they seek help from and decide if it is offered in good faith. Using the powerful testimonies of our mothers and their babies, we intend to fight back."

Meyer said the best way for Tar Heel residents to know what truly goes on at pregnancy care centers is to phone their local PCC, ask questions and arrange a visit.

Dr. Creech joined Dr. Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in defending the important role of the PCCs in the pro-life movement.

"Crisis pregnancy centers deserve the support of all who cherish the sanctity of life, the defense of the unborn, and the right of free speech," wrote Mohler in a recent column addressing attacks on the centers. "As defenders of life, crisis pregnancy centers should be committed to nothing less than comprehensive truth-telling. It is the Culture of Death, not the Culture of Life, that fears the truth."

NC Senator James Forrester Pass-away..

ripGASTONIA, N.C. — Anti-gay state Sen. James Forrester (R-Gaston) passed away at Gaston Memorial Hospital on Monday. The 11-term state senator and retired Air Force brigadier general was 74.

Forrester had several health problems including a heart condition. His family said that he fell ill over the weekend. He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday and placed in its intensive care unit. He passed away when he was removed from life support on Monday.

jamesforresterAs sad as this is, I can only say the following, he had been ill for sometime. Basically he was holding on to see his last goal achieved, (the marriage amendment) which is to deny a group of North Carolinians the right to get marry and have a family just like everyone else..

Now his fellow GOP’ers will no doubt make him out to be a great person who worked hard for the Good of NC.. Yeah, only if you are the right type of people..

However, Many have suffered through his and his wife's hate for over 20 years. Hateful words, hateful actions, just pure hate, all in the name of their religious piety.

remember this quote by him,

Sen. Forrester's last words were "If I'm wrong about homosexuals, may God strike me down."

I’ll show him and his family as much respect as he has shown me and mine.

However, I’ll refuse to stoop to his level of hate. But I offer no sympathy for him

DURHAM - The North Carolina NAACP will hold a press conference to challenge the dismal lack of African-American District Court Judges on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the US Federal Courthouse in Greenville, NC at 4 PM.

On Tuesday, the North Carolina NAACP released an open letter to North Carolina's US Senators, calling on them to address the embarrassing and pernicious history of African-American appointments to North Carolina's Federal District Courts. As of this week, the North Carolina NAACP is mobilizing our 125+ adult, youth and college NAACP units and our 110+ HKonJ Coalition partners to make calls to the offices of Senators Richard Burr and Kay Hagan to demand they nominate an African American to serve as a federal District Court Judge in the Eastern District, where roughly half of the state's African American population resides and where every county with a majority African American population is located, as well as ensure equity in future appointments across the state.

OPEN LETTER

October 25, 2011

The Honorable Richard Burr

The Honorable Kay Hagan

United States Senate

Re: Appointment of an African American Judge to North Carolina's Federal District Court

Dear Senators Burr and Hagan:

The North Carolina State Conference of NAACP Branches strongly urges you to recommend the nomination and appointment of an African American to the vacancy on the United States District Court in North Carolina.  It is important that the judiciary reflects the racial diversity of North Carolina. Our examination of the presence of African Americans who serve as Judges on the three District Courts in this State shows an abysmal failure by our political leadership to recognize and appoint qualified African Americans to serve as District Court Judges. Therefore we urge you to immediately identify and recommend the appointment of qualified African Americans, to rectify this shameful history of exclusion.

With only one African American federal District Court Judge presently seated, North Carolina has the least diverse bench of all states in the South. President Bill Clinton appointed James Beatty, who is eligible to retire in 2014.  If he does, North Carolina would have no African American representation. Furthermore, 17 years have passed since the last time an African American was appointed.

We are the nation's 10th largest State with a 22% African American population, but in our history we have had only two African Americans to serve as federal District Court Judges. The two, Richard Erwin and James Beatty, were appointed to serve in the Middle District of North Carolina. Not one African American has ever served as a Judge in either the Eastern or Western Districts. In particular, it is an obscenity that there has never been an African American Federal Judge in the Eastern District where roughly half of North Carolina's African American population resides, North Carolinians who have never been represented on their federal District Court. This exclusion is unacceptable and an embarrassment to this State and its African American community.

As you know, President George Bush nominated nine individuals to North Carolina District Courts and each one of those nominees was white and only one was a woman. Thus far, based upon your recommendations, President Barack Obama has appointed two Whites to seats on North Carolina's federal bench. As North Carolina's elected Senators who are responsible for making nominations to the President, we demand you represent all your constituents and change the racial disparities which presently exist within our federal court system.  We implore you to support an African American for the third appointment and ensure equity in future appointments.

Yours in the Spirit of Truth and Justice,

Signature

This Week Message for Senator Burr

The Senate was in recess this week, and I returned to North Carolina where I traveled across the state visiting with students at five high schools, touring local businesses and meeting with the hard-working men and women of our state, and listening to the concerns and advice of North Carolinians all along the way.  I also had the opportunity to tour non-profit community wellness facilities, including one devoted to serving homeless veterans, and presented a Congressional Medal to Moriah Glady, a remarkable student at NC State who has gone above and beyond in service to her community.

Before I returned back to North Carolina, however, I was honored to deliver the weekly Republican address last weekend.  My address focuses on the most pressing issue of the day – job creation.  In order to restore our economy, we must create an environment that drives job creation in the private sector.  I outline what it will take to get us there and explain the Republican jobs proposal which would fundamentally reform the obstacles to job creation and economic growth and put our nation back on the right track towards economic prosperity.   You can watch the video of my address here or read the full remarks here.

On Thursday, I traveled to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point where, as an appointee to its Board of Visitors, I had the chance to review and receive updates on academic, honor and respect programs at the U.S. Military Academy.  As the Republican Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, I am very interested in making sure that our nation's soldiers and veterans are well cared-for.  You can read more about my board meeting at West Point here.

NC NAACP Issues Initial Challenge to Racially-Motivated Regressive State-Wide Redistricting Maps of Extremists

NC NAACP Issues Initial Challenge to Racially-Motivated Regressive State-Wide Redistricting Maps of Extremists

The NC NAACP submitted a Comment Letter on Thursday, October 14, 2011, to the U.S. Department of Justice urging the government not to preclear the regressive state-wide redistricting maps approved by the ultra-conservative Republican led majority of the General Assembly. The NAACP Comment Letter declared the State's submissions demonstrate that each redistricting plan was racially motivated and in violation of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Based upon the public records from hearings and committee meetings, it will be impossible for the State to disprove the unlawful racial motivation and animus or that the plans will not negatively and unlawfully impact minority communities.

These maps show extreme racial motivation. The race-based maps that were rammed through the State legislature this summer by right-wing extremists pack 48% of all North Carolina African American voters into just three U.S. House Districts. They try to pack 52% of all Black voters into just 27 of the 120 State House Districts. Their aim is to pack 47% of all African American voters into just 10 State Senate Districts. Their maps intentionally split voting districts to bleach out African Americans and other minorities from some, and reassign Black voters to others that already have high minority representation. Their intent is self-evident: to undermine the ability of minorities to elect candidates of their choice and have influence across the state. Their maps snatched Black voters from counties covered by Section 5 in the First Congressional District, where they only recently won the ability to elect a representative of their choice. These and other strong criticisms of the extremists' race-based maps were included in the NC NAACP's Comment Letter submitted to the U.S. Department of Justice earlier this month.

The 102-year-old civil rights organization is the largest civil rights group in North Carolina, composed of more than 20,000 Black, White, Native American and Latino residents dedicated to eliminating racism from the social and political fabric of our society. The NAACP Comment Letter urged the U.S. Government to reject the extremists' race-based districts. Each of their plans were racially motivated, the NAACP told the U.S. agency that monitors minority voting rights, particularly in the southern states where, through violence and trickery, right wing extremists kept the great majority of Black people from voting at all until the late 1960's.

"We will carefully watch and vigorously defend the principles and intent of the Voting Rights Act, our rights under the 15th Amendment of the US Constitution, and our rights under the North Carolina Constitution to make sure the clock on civil rights is not turned back and our state pursues a course that provides justice for all," stated Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, NC NAACP State Conference President and National NAACP Board Member.

"We are concerned that these proposed districts are being developed in a manner that have the intent, purpose and effect of segregating minority voters in non-cohesive and competing communities of interest and illegally pack and stack minorities into a few 'set-aside' districts which will weaken the minority voice and political influence across the State," said Professor Irving Joyner, NC NAACP Legal Redress Chair.

Veteran civil rights lawyer Al McSurely says these efforts represent a clear strategy. "Extreme right wing ideologues have temporarily, we hope, seized the once proud Republican Party of North Carolina. Their aim is clear: to dilute and suppress Black and Brown voters. They have a fist full of bills and redistricting schemes emailed to Raleigh from Americans For Prosperity and other national fountainheads of right-wing policies. Their boiler-plate bills are cleverly designed to divide and distract the 99% of God's Human Family, so we spend all our time fighting among ourselves for crumbs, while the remaining one percent of millionaires continue to multiply their money and laugh all the way to their banks. These bills have been introduced in many poor southern states as a frontal attack on human and voting rights. Their collective aim is to disenfranchise the poor, the elderly, and racial minorities. They want the least of these to wait in line to get a photo voter ID. They rammed through local bills to undermine African American voting strength. They want to reduce early voting periods, eliminate same-day registration, and do away with straight ticket voting."

Military assault on a legitimate political demonstration

Make no mistake about it: The actions of the police department in Oakland last night were a military assault on a legitimate political demonstration. That it was a milder military assault than it could have been, which is to say it wasn’t a massacre, is very much beside the point. There was no possible provocation that warranted this display of force. (Graffiti? Litter? Rodents? Is the Oakland PD now a SWAT team for the city’s health department?) If you are a police department in this country in 2011, this is something you do because you have the power and the technology and the license from society to do it. This is a problem that has been brewing for a long time. It predates the Occupy movement for more than a decade. It even predates the “war on terror,” although that has acted as what the arson squad would call an “accelerant” to the essential dynamic.

So if you have Camera one, then you are a private citizen, if however your camera is number 2 then you are with the media.. Just How stupid are our men and women 0f law enforcement getting. May be it time to make being a Officer a career where you must a Associate Degree of some type..

This is how photographer Provbenson explains it on Flickr.

I followed the Occupy march from Burnside park to Brown today. When I arrived I noticed plain clothed campus security taking photographs of the marchers as they entered the gates, I did the same. When I looked up from my lens, a uniformed campus guard asked me to leave. I asked why and he said no media were allowed. I explained I was not affiliated with any sort of media and he just wouldn't accept it. He said that my camera was not a private citizen camera and I must be working for media.

This Officer just can’t tell the difference at all. Even if he was with the media he had 1st Amendment right to cover the Occupy event..

Facebook Message From Oakland Mayor Jean Quan, on how her city official treated their Occupiers..

October 25, 2011
7:30 am
Statement from Mayor Jean Quan about today’s enforcement action
Many Oaklanders support the goals of the national Occupy Wall Street movement. We maintained daily communication with the protest0rs in Oakland.

However, over the last week it was apparent that neither the demonstrators nor the City could maintain safe or sanitary conditions, or control the ongoing vandalism. Frank Ogawa Plaza will continue to be open as a free speech area from 6 am to 10 pm.

We want to thank the police, fire, public works and other employees who worked over the last week to peacefully close the encampment. We also thank the majority of the protestors who peacefully complied with city officials.
I commend Chief Jordan for a generally peaceful resolution to a situation that deteriorated and concerned our community. His leadership was critical in the successful execution of this operation. City Administrator Deanna Santana developed the plan and secured mutual aid from other departments and the State of California. She will direct departmental teams, including safety, public works, communications, to restore conditions at the Plaza so that it is available for public use.

The City welcomes all Oaklanders to continue to use the Plaza during daylight hours for peaceful protest.

PROCLAMATION OF THE OGLALA SIOUX TRIBE

IN SUPPORT OF TWO-SPIRIT DIGNITY & HUMAN RIGHTS

WHEREAS, the unity of cultures across time have embraced the concept of inalienable human rights that derive from our relationship to nature; and, on this 24th day of October 2011 the Oglala Sioux Tribe acknowledges Richard Noble and the grassroots LGBT Civil Rights Movement; and

WHEREAS, a central tenant of United States law is the principle of non-discrimination and equal protection under the law as human rights; and

WHEREAS, members of the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgendered – and the two-spirits of this world – face historical and ongoing community rejection, political stigmatization and institutional discrimination based on their innate nature, causing untallied human tragedy, emotional detachment and suffering so extreme that many commit suicide; and

WHEREAS, members of the grassroots LGBT community seek, via the American Equality Bill, to add “sexual orientation and gender identity” equally to all of America’s non-discrimination laws, both to advance this urgent cause for justice, and to protect the inherent right of each person to develop consistent with their natural sexuality and gender as their authentic self, safely and with appropriate cultural dignity and respect; and

WHEREAS, the American Equality Bill reflects the Government’s duty to provide protection from discrimination for all people as a matter of public welfare, and the human rights duty to ensure legal equality for LGBT people under federal law in order to rebuke homophobia and transphobia with the full force of official United States governmental policy, including via the expenditure of all federal funds under Title VI; and

WHEREAS, it is time to ignite the civil rights movement of the 21st Century to liberate the LGBT community in America, in order to reach every community, leaving no child anywhere alone suffering with discrimination or social rejection; and

Virginians have lost what Minds they left..

Virginia Tech being Sued for some wack out asshole who decided to shoot up the campus, One would think the want to keep guns off of the campus, well, most folks who have a brain do. However a small group of back-water assholes think differently.

ribbonMembers of the Virginia Citizens Defense League will visit ODU's Kaufman Mall on the afternoon of Nov. 1 to lobby for weapons policies that leave "the decision to carry or not to carry and how to carry up to the individual," according to an email alert from the group Monday. The ODU protest, organized with a college Republican group, is part of a broader VCDL push to oppose policies that prohibit holders of concealed-weapon permits from bringing their weapons into campus buildings. The gun rights group is scheduling similar protests on college campuses around Virginia.

After all Guns on campus. What could go wrong?

Re:  Restitution for the Victims of the North Carolina Eugenics Board

Dear Governor Perdue, Speaker Tillis and Distinguished Leaders of North Carolina:

The North Carolina State Conference of the NAACP through the Women in the NAACP (WIN) would like to express our support for the NC Justice for Sterilization Victims Foundation, Eugenics Task Force and victims of the North Carolina Eugenics Board. We are very pleased that The Task Force has been actively working to address this ugly chapter in North Carolina's history which resulted in the forcible sterilization of many of our citizens, many of whom were poor and minority.

The NC NAACP with our 110+ HKonJ partners addressed the issue of wrongful sterilization with the adoption of the coalition's 14-point agenda. Since that time, obtaining compensation for the victims of the forcible sterilization program has been a mainstay of our agenda.

Ten years have passed since the state offered a formal apology to victims of the involuntary sterilizations in 2001. Time is precious for the surviving victims and we need to move forward to assist these individuals. We ask that the task force and our state leaders quickly move forward in authorizing compensation to individual victims as soon as possible.

While we understand a figure for compensation has been proposed, we ask that the victims be compensated at the highest amount that our moral conscience and justice demands. These victims have suffered for years, in some cases enduring immense physical and psychological distress. You heard many of the heart-breaking stories during the testimony this summer by several of the victims who were brave and strong enough to share their hurt in a public forum. The time has come for the state to right this horrible wrong and fulfill its promise to these citizens who have suffered long enough.

We are calling on you to seek out more victims, support the payment of restitution for the sterilization victims and assist in moving the compensation process forward immediately with the goal of having the payments made by the end of the year.

Yours in the Spirit of Truth and Justice,

Eric Cantor You are a disgrace, and need to be voted out of Congress.

eric cantorAfter getting word that he would be greeted with 500 protesters, Rep. Cantor abruptly canceled the speaking engagement at the last minute.

Rep. Cantor refused to speak at an event because the audience was not hand picked and he would have to deal with people he previously deemed "a mob." He skirted his obligation as one of the highest-ranking members of Congress to deal with all Americans, not just the ones who agree with him. And then he lied about his reasons for canceling the event.

Rep. Cantor claimed that UPENN changed the attendance policy of the event and opened it to the public at the last minute.

This is simply not true.

UPENN spokesperson Ron Ozio said in a statement that Wharton's speaker series is "typically open to the general public, and that is how the event with Majority Leader Cantor was billed. We very much regret if there was any misunderstanding with the Majority Leader's office on the staging of his presentation."

The only Eric is willing to do, is protecting the banks, after all he has too, he had to protect his’ wife job…

When your Party Loses, make sure you Blame Obama

Wake County GOP Chairwoman Susan Bryant blames "President Obama's national organization" for last week's election results that could lead to Democrats regaining control of the county school board.

Yes this very delusion piece of crap, wants to blame Obama for their loses in the most recent election in Wake County. I guess it had nothing to do with the lies and sorry ass jobs that they were doing.. it also had nothing to do with the group’s sick ideology.

2"Make no mistake!" Bryant writes in a GOP newsletter this week. "President Obama's national organization was very much involved in the recent elections, with particular emphasis on Ron Margiotta's and Heather Losurdo's campaigns. They hired 'volunteers' and spent tens of thousands on mailers cleverly disguised as coming from non-related groups."

Please cry me a damn river..

Michele’s Staff leaves and joins the Perry Camp.. I smell campaign trouble ahead..

Via the Towleroad,

Michele Bachmann's New Hampshire staff has deserted her, according to CBS. One of them. Caroline Gilger, is defecting to to the Rick Perry camp.

Mrs. Bachmann, when asked about the desertion on a radio program, was doubtful:

In an interview with Radio Iowa, Bachmann expressed incredulity over news of the resignations, first reported by New Hampshire television station WMUR. "That is a shocking story to me," she said. "I don't know where that came from. We have called staff in New Hampshire to find out where that came from and the staff have said that isn't true, so I don't know if this is just a bad story that's being fed by a different candidate or campaign. I have no idea where this came from, but we've made calls and it's certainly not true."

But it was true. Jeff Chidester, Mrs. Bachmann's now-ex-New Hampshire campaign director, said:

That information [about the resignation] was conveyed to the people that are closest to Michele ... If that information was not shared, that's unfortunate.

Bad form, Bachmannfolk. The candidate must be informed of these things.

Poor Michele, her craziest is finally showing, and she is losing it..

Eric Cantor won’t even meet with his own Constituents.

Dee Jacobson from Cantor's district speaking in Philadelphia yesterday:

I came up here today...to stand in solidarity with you because I am disgusted with what my Congressman, Eric Cantor, is doing. I want to thank each and every one of you for being here today. I know there are thousands of Virginians who wish they could be here standing beside us. It's an outrage that I had to travel 300 miles to another state just to seem my Congressman. And then he has the nerve to cancel. This doesn't surprise me. Representative Cantor rarely holds public meetings in his district and does not put out a public schedule. I once went by his district office 5 different times in 1 week...

Eric Cantor a big O’ pussy, Afraid to meet with the People who are in the (99%)

We were expecting to hear a speech by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) about inequality in America. We were particularly intrigued to hear the speech because Cantor has previously characterized the Occupy Wall Street movement as a “mob” that wants to “divide America.”

But, shortly after noon today, Cantor abruptly canceled his speech at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. His office complained that the University was making his speech open to the public, but Cantor only wanted to speak to a “selected audience.” (Cantor’s decision followed plans for a large march and protest prior to the speech.)

You can read the full text of the speech that Cantor did not deliver HERE.

Cantor had claimed that the University of Pennsylvania changed its attendance policy at the last moment, thus forcing him to withdraw. But in a statement released moments ago, the University explained that the speech was always open to the public. “The Wharton speaker series is typically open to the general public, and that is how the event with Majority Leader Cantor was billed,” a statement read.

Email on how Republicans Voted Down American Jobs, Once again

by Josh Dorner
Republicans Vote Down American Jobs — AGAIN

In their never-ending quest to protect millionaires and billionaires, Senate Republicans once again voted down American Jobs. Last week, they joined together to unanimously oppose the millions of jobs that would be created by the American Jobs Act. Last night, the Senate took up one part of the president’s jobs plan — a provision for nearly 400,000 jobs for teachers, firefighters, and cops — and Senate Republicans had another chance to go on record. And again they all voted no.

Here’s the rundown.

WHAT:

The Teachers and First Responders Back to Work Act

THE INVESTMENT:

$35 BILLION ($30 BILLION for teachers and $5 BILLION for first responders)

HOW IT WAS PAID FOR:

By a one-half of 1 percent surtax on any income above $1 MILLION (the first million dollars is still taxed today’s low rates)

HOW MANY AMERICAN JOBS THE GOP VOTED AGAINST:

At least 392,100 — with jobs in all 50 states

HOW MANY JOBS YOUR SENATOR VOTED AGAINST:

Check out our handy state-by-state spreadsheet HERE.

Some examples:

WHAT’S NEXT:

Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), and Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) introduced the Rebuild America Act today. The bill will invest billions in our crumbling roads, bridges, airports, and other infrastructure projects across the country, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs. The Senate is on recess next week and will attempt to take up the bill when it returns.

Watch this space for more details.

IN ONE SENTENCE: Republicans had a choice between American jobs or protecting millionaires, and once again Republicans chose to protect millionaires and billionaires instead of keeping teachers, cops, and firefighters on the job.

An Email Full OF Lies and suppositions NC GOP Caucus

If the email is correct, then where are these Jobs??? the last I check or heard NC unemployment rate was over 10% again.. Berger help us to lose 1300 jobs a few weeks ago. Just who got those Jobs South Carolina did..

NCGOP a bunch a damn liars from hell,

Yesterday, the North Carolina Free Enterprise Foundation, a non-partisan organization, released its annual “Business Ratings” of the North Carolina General Assembly. As we promised on the campaign trail, the Republicans in the North Carolina House of Representatives have created an environment in North Carolina that is “business friendly.”

We all know that North Carolina’s business community is the job creation engine that will pull North Carolina out of this recession.

"The ratings are a reflection of the pro-business approach the House Republicans took during this session," said House Speaker Thom Tillis. "This was the most business-friendly session in recent memory, and this study confirms that."

“Based on voting tallies…and evaluations from business leaders,” the ratings show that Republicans have kept their promise to create a more business friendly environment to spur sustainable job creation.

Senator Burr Votes To Block Economic Aid For North Carolina Teachers, Schools

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Senator Burr Votes To Block Economic Aid For North Carolina Teachers, Schools

Raleigh, NC--Late last night, United States Senator Richard Burr voted to block legislation to support up to 13,400 educator and first responder jobs and to provide resources to improve North Carolina’s schools.

“Senator Richard Burr has utterly failed in his job to serve the people of North Carolina and he ought to be ashamed of himself. Senator Burr voted against relief for victims of Hurricane Irene, he voted against tax cuts for North Carolina’s middle class families and now he has voted against putting teachers back in our classrooms and keeping cops and firefighters on the job—it’s clear that Richard Burr has abandoned the people of North Carolina.” said David Parker, Chairman of the North Carolina Democratic Party.“Time and again, Senator Burr has put partisanship ahead of the needs of the people of North Carolina—unfortunately, our kids, our schools and our teachers are the victims of his latest dereliction of duty.”

Parker continued by noting the impact of Burr’s vote on North Carolina’s unemployment rate.

“The recent increase in unemployment is a direct result of the actions of Senator Burr and his colleagues in the General Assembly. The Republicans’job-killing budget and the failure of Senator Burr and his Tea Party colleagues, demonstrates clearly that Republicans have a serious problem with priorities,” said Parker. “North Carolinians need relief and Governor Perdue and Democrats in the General Assembly will continue their fight to create jobs, protect our schools and stop the failed policies being pushed by Republicans.”

This week message from Burr

This was a week of passionate debate both on the Senate floor and in committee hearings on the need to reform our nation's K-12 education system and the future of No Child Left Behind. On Wednesday and Thursday, the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee began its markup of the Education Reform Bill. As we continue work on the bill, I am committed to giving states and local communities the flexibility essential to meeting the unique and varied educational needs of their students.

The federal government should not dictate how funds for individual school districts are allocated. Those most familiar with the needs of a particular community should determine how to design programs and initiatives to provide an education that is in the best interest of their students. Providing our students with a quality education is essential to their future success and to the continued competitiveness of our nation in the global economy, so we must ensure that big government is not standing in the way of educational reform.

Last Friday, the American taxpayer won a significant victory when the Administration finally acknowledged that the CLASS Act, a long-term care entitlement program included in the new health care law, could not be financially sustainable and decided to shelve implementation of the program.

While I am pleased that the Administration has finally started to acknowledge the lack of sustainability of the new law, relying on the Administration to stop implementation of the unsustainable CLASS Act is not sufficient. We must go further and replace Obamacare with reform that actually lowers the cost of health care and gives businesses the confidence that they need to keep the employees they have and hopefully hire new ones. Read more about this on my blog.

On Monday, I joined a bipartisan group of Senators in introducing the Strengthening Medicare and Repaying Taxpayers (SMART) Act to make the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Program more efficient and cost effective to taxpayers. The lack of transparency and inefficiencies with the current Medicare Secondary Payer process illustrates how Washington's red-tape and regulatory uncertainty can adversely impact seniors and businesses.

In order to get our economy back on track, we simply cannot afford to continue to waste taxpayer dollars by perpetuating the inefficiencies of the current Medicare Secondary Payer system. We can and must do a better job for the seniors and stakeholders depending upon this program to be as transparent and efficient as possible. Read more about the SMART Act in this press release.

On Saturday, October 22, I will deliver the Republican response to President Obama's weekly address to the nation. Unlike the President, I do not believe that another round of the same failed stimulus that we tried in 2009 will do anything to foster job growth or improve our current economic situation. Senate Republicans have a proposal that will simplify our tax code, decrease over-regulation at the federal level, reduce federal spending, and work towards a balanced budget. I will post the transcript and video of this address as soon as it becomes available, so stay tuned to my website and Facebook page.

Court strikes down Nebraska's funeral picketing ban

You I have to wonder where they family is getting all lits money, to travel across the county as they do.

1. they are doing something illegal as hell or

2. they are faking all those pickets and photoshop images ..

OMAHA -- A federal appeals court struck down a Nebraska law on Thursday that keeps protesters several hundred feet away from a funeral or memorial service.

A three-judge panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a ruling by a lower federal court against members of Westboro Baptist Church, relying on its 2008 ruling in a Missouri case that said peaceful protests near funerals are protected by the First Amendment's right to free speech.

Thursday's opinion came in an appeal of a lawsuit filed by Shirley Phelps-Roper, the daughter of the founder of the Topeka, Kan.-based group that regularly protests at the funerals of fallen soldiers. Phelps-Roper had asked for a preliminary injunction to stop enforcement of the law, saying it was unconstitutional.

Wack-job Cindy Jacobs proclaims they are on the verge of Overturning Roe vs Wade

Cindy Jacob is at it again. Seriously this women whom I’m sure was the inspiration for the character of Dolores Umbridge  from J.K Rowling, Harry Potter series.

She is claiming that her and her marry band of bible thumpers are on the very verge of over turning Women Rights to have an Abortion.

"I believe if we ever needed intercession, it is right now," proclaimed Jacobs, urging people to cry out to God.  "Help us turn our nations to righteousness. [...] Can you imagine thousands of people, through the miracle of technology, will be interceding together to bring a reformation to Biblical values  — pro-life, pro-Biblical defense of marriage, we are so excited!  We believe here in the United States, we are on the verge of overturning Roe v. Rep. Heath Shuler: Trade pacts no friend to workers

Rep. Heath Shuler
Asheville Citizen-Times
October 16, 2011
Last week the U.S. House passed three separate “free trade” agreements with Colombia, Panama and Korea that will send hundreds of thousands of American jobs overseas and accelerate the downfall of our domestic manufacturing industry.
Like NAFTA before them, these so-called “free trade” deals come at the expense of the American worker. The agreements with Colombia, Panama and Korea, crafted in the same mold as NAFTA, include the same dangerous provisions that encourage international corporations to outsource U.S. production and jobs.
At a time when good-paying jobs are already few and far between, this is not the solution America needs or wants from Washington. What we need now is a new direction for trade agreements — one that is balanced and fair and puts American workers ahead of foreign corporations.
We in North Carolina have experienced firsthand the devastating impacts of NAFTA. We have watched as this imbalanced trade deal has eroded our once-thriving manufacturing industry and with it a strong middle class. We have seen our national trade deficit explode by billions of dollars as a result of unfair trade agreements that give foreign countries access to our markets while keeping U.S. products out of theirs.
Since NAFTA was implemented in 1994, our state has lost an astounding 420,000 manufacturing jobs. Economists now predict that more than 8,000 jobs in Western North Carolina will be destroyed under the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement alone.
There will be clear winners and losers in these latest trade agreements. Wealthy corporations will gain new opportunities to produce goods cheaply in foreign countries with abysmal labor and environmental regulations.
But as these trade deals help foreign companies get ahead in the global race to the bottom, American workers already struggling to make ends meet are put at a greater disadvantage. Rural communities, like many of those in WNC that depend on a manufacturing-based economy, will see more factories close and the jobs that are still left shipped overseas.
Rather than give the advantage to corporations that outsource American jobs to foreign countries with the cheapest labor and poorest worker protections, we should be rewarding companies that are committed to keeping and creating jobs in America.
Trade is not the enemy. When written in the best interest of American workers, trade agreements can give the manufacturing sector the tools it needs to stay on top in the global economy.
American workers have already proven they can out-compete any nation in the world. Now we just have to give them the opportunity to do it.

Once the unwashed mob is mobilized into action, HRC, Garden State [In]Equality and their fellow travelers launch their well-honed but reprehensible tactic of screaming bloody murder over nothing. It’s pointless to debate with them, because their goal is fear, intimidation, even anarchy and revolution. If a few innocent people suffer along the way, they don’t care. This is the authentic face of sexually perverted “tolerance.”

Whether it’s just “Joe-mo-sexual on the street,” the casual groupie or people actually compensated by HRC or others in some fashion, there are plenty of mindless liberals ready to haunt conservatives in cyberspace. There’s also the Change.org website which can rally what seems like a million clueless “progressives” at a moment’s notice.

Or maybe it’s really just 20 or so smelly guys and gals in their aunts’ basements, who juggle numerous distinct email, Facebook and Twitter identities. Perhaps it’s a very small mob, after all.

She is writing concerning the NJ teacher who wrote her opinion on Homosexuality. She claims that HRC has launched a “Get Viki” Campaign. by emailing her principal, to get her fired.

Now to be fair on some leave,I agree that HRC and other group are only going after her because she is a teacher. I also feel that HRC and others LGBT groups are helping to destroy our first amendment rights to free speech. more on this later.

Then she listed a few folks who mouth and fingers got them in trouble online. She accused HRC and other groups recruiting others to search for these misconducts  on the net, labeling then as search and destroy mission on innocents Americans .

President Obama Rolls into Town!

As President Obama's bus tour rolls into Asheville, the President and Democrats keep spinning their wheels with the same old song and dance of more government spending, higher taxes, and promoting their already proven and destine to fail Policies.

President Obama will give a few inspirational speeches and the liberal special interest will spend $10's of millions of dollars on their Democrat Propaganda. Some Americans will rally around Obama's repackaged agenda and failed policies. I wish I had an answer as to why they will do this. Why do they continue to support rising un-employment?   Why do they support continued efforts to divide Americans? Why do they continue to support increasing efforts to limit our ability to compete in the World economy, push corporations overseas, and vilify the very people who can lead us to a revived and prosperous America? I do not know, but there are very clear differences between where President Obama and the Democrats want to take our country and where Republicans want to lead our Nation - economic renewal, expanded opportunities, security, freedom and unity.

Since President Obama was sworn in more than 2.6 million Americans have lost their jobs and He has added more than $4 trillion to our national debt, not including future obligations. Under President Obama and Governor Perdue more 300,000 North Carolinians have lost jobs. The unemployment rate in NC is 10.4 percent, far worse than the already intolerable 9.4 percent nationally.

President Obama promised that massive Government spending would put people back to work. He continues to openly argue that it has, but the numbers don't lie. 400,000 jobs lost last week alone and with our economy barely sputtering and almost out of gas they continue to push these same policies. Obviously, they just don't understand these things are not working. I suppose their continued denial shouldn't surprise us, Democrats haven't even cared enough about America's future to simply put together a budget in more than 900 days, but who needs a budget anyway.

The people of North Carolina and America deserve better than an ever expanding government ignoring reality, higher taxes and a foreign policy of apology and appeasement.

So let the Obama bus continue rolling down the same dead end road until the American people asked him to hit the road in 2012.

Sincerely,

Henry D. Mitchell, Chairman

I’m sorry but here lately it’s the GOP who is doing the Dividing of American, not only at our Nation Capital but here in NC too. Last week Tillis foot in mouth for suggesting the state "find a way to divide and conquer" those receiving public assistance. He made the comments at a town hall meeting in Madison County earlier this month.

Even the GOP Chair Robin Hayes chimes in too about the bus tour,

"If the President cared about passing a real bill, instead of simply misleading the public by campaigning against Republicans, he would have stayed in DC and gotten a deal done," GOP Chairman Robin Hayes said in a statement.

  2. Near the corner of Hwy 26 and Airport Road (Road 280) (3-5 people holding signs)

If you can help us, please contact our Communications Director, Rob Lockwood, who will be on-site Monday.  His email address is rlockwood@ncgop.org , and his phone number is 978-729-6711.

This week message from Burr

As I travel across our state and meet with North Carolinians back home and in my Washington office, the primary concern of everyone I talk to is creating jobs and growing the economy.  Although the Majority Leader has largely ignored these concerns lately, we did have the opportunity to vote on several pieces of legislation this week that will increase job growth and stimulate our economy.

On Tuesday, a bill I cosponsored aimed at preserving American jobs and increasing the competitiveness of American companies in the global marketplace passed the Senate with resounding bipartisan support.  The Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act will hold China accountable for undervaluing its currency, a practice that has an extremely detrimental impact on American manufacturing jobs and our entire economy by widening our trade deficit and giving China an unfair advantage in international trade.  This has ultimately resulted in fewer American exports and the loss of millions of American manufacturing jobs, including many in North Carolina.  Passage of this bill sends a signal to China and other nations that we are committed to fair trade and defending the interests of American workers.

A few days after this bill passed, the Commerce Department announced that our trade gap with China has reached an all-time high, underscoring the need to enforce sanctions on countries who manipulate their currency to give themselves an unfair trade advantage.

In another effort to increase job creation and open new markets for American products and services abroad, the Senate passed three trade agreements – with Panama, Colombia, and South Korea - on Wednesday. These trade agreements will have a positive impact on our state’s economy and represent a step in the right direction towards opening markets, expanding opportunities, and putting North Carolinians and Americans across the country back to work.  Lowering tariff barriers with other nations will give American companies, including North Carolina businesses, the opportunity to grow and create jobs.

I am pleased that these trade agreements passed and that we are coupling them with an increased determination to put a stop to the unfair trade practices of other countries which harm U.S. businesses and cost jobs.  Just as America is committed to free trade, we must also fight for fair trade to ensure that our businesses and workers have the best possible opportunities to market their goods and services.

On Thursday, I further fought to create and maintain American jobs by co-sponsoring the Medical Device Regulatory Improvement Act.  This bill would help streamline the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) regulation of medical devices in order to spur innovation here at home and provide investors the regulatory certainty and predictability necessary to prevent them from pursuing opportunities overseas.  Over the past few years, regulatory challenges at the FDA have delayed, and in some cases, prevented new and innovative devices from reaching the market, depriving American patients access to the best available medical technology.  By streamlining and ensuring the least burdensome approach to FDA’s regulation of medical devices, we not only take a key step toward restoring America’s leadership in the research and development of life-saving products, but uphold our promise to patients in North Carolina and around our nation to continue innovating on their behalf.  Read this press release to learn more about the bill.

Since the so-called “jobs proposal” that Majority Leader Reid brought to the floor on Tuesday night would not effectively spur job growth here in the U.S., I voted against part two of President Obama’s first failed stimulus bill.  Fortunately, this jobs plan failed to pass this Senate since myself and others recognized that we have tried a stimulus before and it didn’t create the kind of job growth that it promised or that we need.  A serious, successful jobs bill will not be about how much Washington can spend, but how we create an environment that allows our country’s job creators to grow.  Instead of more short-term stimulus, we need to focus on long-term solutions, like comprehensive tax reform, to stimulate our economy and give businesses the certainty and predictability they need to create jobs.  Reforming and simplifying our tax code would provide companies and small businesses the certainty and confidence in the economy they need to hire and retain employees.

Also on Thursday, I introduced a bill to protect the Second Amendment rights of our nation’s veterans.  Currently, veterans who have a fiduciary appointed to help them with their VA benefits are deemed “mentally defective” and are reported to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), a system which prevents them from being able to purchase firearms in the United States.  This legislation would protect the rights of veterans and their families by ensuring that only a proper judicial authority is able to determine who is referred to NICS.  Taking away a Constitutional right is a serious action, and veterans should be afforded the same due process under the law as all other American citizens.  Our veterans took an oath to uphold the Constitution and they deserve to enjoy the rights they fought so hard to protect.  To read more about this bill, click here.
