Speaker Tillis Orders Police to Kick Out 80 Citizens from 2nd Floor of Legislative Building

Speaker Thom Tillis ordered the General Assembly Police to boot 80 North Carolinians off of the 2nd floor of the NC Legislative Building. While Police escorted the crowd off the second floor, lobbyists were allowed to remain outside of the Speaker's Office - an obvious double standard.

Nevertheless, North Carolinians remained vigilant, watching the legislative session from the House gallery, ensuring that Speaker Tillis was not able to pull the kind of dirty tricks he played on teachers during the early morning hours of Jan. 5.
