House Speaker Thom Tillis (R-Mecklenburg) released the following statement today concerning the veto override of Senate Bill 781:
“Today, the North Carolina House took a bold step for job creation by overriding the Governor’s veto of Senate Bill 781, the Regulatory Reform bill. This legislation was the product of multiple public meetings throughout the state, during which House and Senate members heard from small business owners about the critical need to reform burdensome state regulations. This bill makes North Carolina more business-friendly, and immediately makes our state more competitive when attracting new businesses. I applaud the bipartisan majority of House members who supported this job-creating measure today.”
