WakeUP Wake County & the League of Women Voters
Hosting Municipal Candidate Forums in September
Municipal Candidate forums:
WakeUP Wake County, the League of Women Voters of Wake County,and the NC Center for Voter Education will host non-partisan municipal candidate and mayoral candidate forums in Raleigh and Cary. Candidates will be asked questions about local issues, including growth, transportation, water supply, housing, land use, and the economy. The audience will be able to ask questions as well. The host organizations are all 501(c)(3) non-partisan nonprofits.

Board of Education forums:
WakeUP Wake County and the League of Women Voters of Wake County also will hold five Wake Board of Education (BOE) candidate forums throughout the month of September in BOE Districts 3,4,5,6 & 8. The forums are non-partisan. All candidates for the Wake County Board of Education who have filed with the Wake County Board of Elections are invited to participate in the forums. Candidates will be asked questions about critical issues facing Wake County schools. The audience will be able to ask questions as well.
