Republican Congresswoman Renee Ellmers said that under the new health care law passed by Congress last year, a 15-member panel would have the power to deny a person's surgery.
Yes that is what she told people at her little $20bucks to see her in Rocky Mount, NC early this month.. She used your grandmother as an example, that if she broke her hip, that they would deny her the operation, and place her on pain bills for the rest of her life.
Ellmers was referring to the 15-member Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). Whom can’t by law include any recommendation to health care or the restriction of benefits,or eligibility criteria. Their job is to make recommendations to Congress on how to help keep health care cost down and Keep Medicare cost in check.
When she was ask about her remarks in Rocky Mount, NC she make the following statement which was nothing like what she told those whom paid to see her in Rocky Mount,
saying that Congress had created a 15-member IPAB board of "unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats" and that the "new government bureaucracy is taking away options from seniors while putting more control in the hands of the government and is more likely to ration care."
There are legitimate pros and cons with the Affordable Care Act, Ellmer’s argument go way beyond the facts, it might seem that we was using a Fox News’ talking points memo on the Affordable Care Act.
