In spite of hearing from hundreds of pro-choice constituents across the state, the House passed an anti-choice bill last week by a margin of 71-48.
Anti-choice legislators are calling it the “Women’s Right to Know” Act, but it would be more aptly named the “Women Know Nothing” act. It is an omnibus bill that would even further restrict abortion access in our state, and that suggests women are incapable of making their own decisions without government interference.
This bill is headed to the Senate (as S.B.769) for another vote. Make sure your senator knows you think that women are intelligent enough to make their own decisions.
Send a message to Sen. Clark Jenkins now to OPPOSE this bill!
We are doing all we can in the legislature to keep S.B.769 from becoming law in our state, but we can’t stop this bill without your help.
The attacks on choice across our country are getting more serious by the day. Help us fight for reproductive justice in North Carolina by contacting your senator to vote NO on S.B.769 today!
In solidarity,
Hillary Waugh Bruce
