Tea Party Express supporters in Wisconsin Sunday seemed proud to take the blame for S&P’s downgrade of U.S. credit. “This week — and I wrote it down — they are blaming the credit downgrade on the tea party movement,” Tea Party Express’ Shea King told the crowd. King’s announcement was met with cheers and applause.
“They are calling it ‘the tea party downgrade.’ They are objectivizing [sic] us,” she added.
