Christie Cameron, the clerk of the N.C. Supreme Court, said in the past, the procedure would have been to call the State Capitol Police, but with the budget cut backs – the police force has been cut in half – they are no longer working on weekends.
“If someone had broken in(in the past) the protocol would have been to push a button and the Capitol Police would have been here in an instant,” Cameron said. “The protocol now is to call a general number in the Department of Administration and have someone come over with a key and get the Raleigh Police Department to come. It is not optimal.”
Ok Tillis and Gang,, this is your doing.. I hope you can see through those rose color glasses now.. That these cuts are showing up all over the place.. Now Our Supreme Court Justices are not safe..
I guess Tillis and Gang only concern is for their our safety.. since they cut the Capitol Police budget so they can increase their own security.. Yes Tills and Gang had to be protected from Folk yelling in the gallery and from those very rare marches on the house floor from outraged citizens…
