“One of the issues they (outside conservative groups) have come to me about … is the marriage amendment. It’s important to the conservative groups that we get this passed this year because they need that to be able to get their ground game working to get the maximum effect to get out the vote…Speaker Tillis has assured us it will happen this year. It may be in a special session for constitutional amendments but it will be this year.”
We know this will happen because some Gop’er left the Mics on in the meeting room and o boy the things that were said and heard… I guess they will be checking those mic’s for now on..
Yes there was a lot that was over heard, that they didn’t want out of the bag yet, but that sneakie cat cut those mic all for us to know what the GOP has plan for NC in the up coming months.
Hilton went on: “There’s going to be other issues, conservative issues, that I want us to talk about. We know we can’t get all the conservative ideas passed this session, but we need to prioritize these items. I’ve talked to our whip (Rep. Ruth Samuelson) and she would like for us to kind of get together and put together our priorities for the issues still left on the table. With illegal immigration, the pro-family issues, the gun issues and bring them back and present them and talk about them … We can’t have everything and there’s some things we won’t be able to do.”
I see gun issues might be up for talks. Let’s all hope it better gun control..
