N.C. Policy Watch reports its probe of Rep. Stephen LaRoque has found that his private management company, which runs his two nonprofits, received a $200,000 loan without interest from one of the nonprofits.
Which means he have himself a nice 200,000 thousand dollar loan, must be nice..
When ask about this he had this to say,
“I’m not talking to you about anything,” LaRoque told Ovaska when she called him for comment, she reported.
(Click here to see the loan document.)
All this comes to light because of a campaign mailer attacking his management companies, by Braxton. Braxton lawyer are fighting the lawsuit and requested documents like any good lawyer would do. Braxton’s lawyer included the promissory note in a court filing this month.
LaRoque has a contempt hearing coming up Wednesday afternoon in Lenoir County Courthouse..
How if the LaRoque was a Democrat the Republicans in NCGA would be demanding for his resignation ASAP..
He need to face the music, what did is almost illegal and he knows it..
