You’ll recall that unhinged NC State Senator James Forrester, a retired physician who has been the perennial sponsor of a marriage amendment bill to ensure LGBT North Carolinians are second-class citizens by public vote, held an incredible Town Hall meeting that was one for the ages. This was the event where he made the absurd comment that “We need to reach out to them [gays] and get them to change their lifestyle back to the one we accept.”

This is madness, but our General Assembly wants to pass an amendment whose sponsor’s agenda is church controlling state matters. At least Forrester is making no bones about it. Below the fold, a letter from a reader sent to NC General Assembly leadership.
