Legislators talk gay marriage ban at local church Read

Talking about mixing state and religion,

Three state representatives and two state senators, whom represent all or part of Gaston, attended at town hall meeting on Thursday night in opposition of same-sex marriage.

Sen. Kathy Harrington, Sen. James Forrester, Rep. Kelly Hastings, Rep. John Torbett and Rep. Bill Current sat on the platform at Restoring Hope Foursquare church in Dallas.

The five legislators, all Republicans, answered questions posed by the 60-member audience and received no vocal opposition to their positions on gay marriage.

I bet all the answers were from a bigoted point of view..

Forrester claims.

“If this bill does not pass then homosexuality will be taught into public school as the norm,” Forrester said. “Do you want that? No. The homosexuals want to have their lifestyle considered normal.”

lets not for get this little piece of bigotry,

“We need to reach out to them and get them to change their lifestyle back to the one we accept,” he said.

Just who the hell does he think he is, where does he get off telling folks what life style is the correct one.

He forgets that being a Physician, has hazards too, like being a alcoholic, drug addiction, and suicide, are the top three and high rate of divorce..

Applause for Southern Style Bigotry…

The town hall meeting began with a prayer and several people asked questions, mostly for clarification. Everyone in attendance seemed to be in support of the bill.

Forrester received a standing ovation at one point and Rep. Hastings received a round of applause about an hour into the meeting when he said that we needed a new president of the United States.

Forrester said that “it looks to me that we’re the only state in the South” that doesn’t have a constitutional amendment specifying that marriage is between one man and one woman.

Now Forrester joins the bagger, over his dislike for the first African-American President.. No wonder why the GOP in the south what to push the clock back to a time of slavery.. They are piss that our country is willing to put it past behind us and move on to fair country were an African-American or any other race (American born) can become President.. No more the good ole white boy club..
